FOOT ROLL

Soft tissue release on the feet with a ball/roller can help alleviate muscle tension, increase blood flow, and improve overall foot mobility. Here's how to do it:

  1. Place a small ball (such as a tennis or lacrosse ball) on the floor.

  2. Remove your shoes and socks, and place the sole of one foot on the ball.

  3. Apply pressure to the ball and roll it back and forth along the length of your foot, from the heel to the toes.

  4. If you find a particularly tender spot, pause and hold the ball on that area for a few seconds to apply more pressure.

  5. You can also try rolling the ball side to side along the width of your foot, and in circular motions.

  6. Continue rolling for 1-2 minutes using the movement strategies in the video, then switch to the other foot and repeat.

  7. Remember to breathe deeply and relax your muscles while rolling.
