ALTERNATE LUNGES

Movement standards are as follows:

  1. Start with the feet underneath the hips

  2. Keep your arms up to encourage an upright posture throughout the movement.

  3. Step back, maintaining the hip-width between the feet - it will provide a more stable footing.

  4. Your foot should be far enough back that when you descend into the lunge and your back knee taps the floor, both knees are approximately 90 degrees. You don’t need to get your protractor out - but ensure you are stable throughout.

  5. Step into your leading leg and lock out to the standing start position.

  6. Switch sides, alternating and repeat.
